Scoring Methodology
1
Resolve the creator
Look up the profile by username: follower and following counts, post count, verified and private status. Private accounts are reported as “cannot screen” rather than scored.
2
Measure real engagement
Pull the 50 most recent posts and compute likes plus comments over video plays. Views are the hardest number to fake. Accounts with no video plays fall back to a follower-based rate, flagged as lower confidence. A like-to-comment ratio above 50:1 is a soft flag, since engagement pods buy likes, not comments.
3
Read the audience
Pull up to 200 comments on each of the top 3-5 posts and compute the bot ratio from Xpoz’s spam detection, pooled across the sample. If comments are unavailable, the creator is scored on engagement only and marked partial.
4
Score
A 0-100 authenticity score: 40% engagement rate (scaled by follower tier), 40% audience authenticity (100 minus bot share), 20% sanity checks (following/follower ratio, post count relative to audience size, like-to-comment flag). Rounded to a whole number, never presented as precise.
5
Report
A single creator gets a short card with a one-line verdict. A batch gets a comparison table sorted by score, with private and partial creators listed separately.
